These puzzles are created with various colored wood and grains for the most dramatic contrasts such as marblewood, ambrosia maple, mahogany, purpleheart, jatoba, oak and maple. The box is made from maple with a hardboard bottom. Mitered edges are splined with mahogany for extra strength as well as a decorative effect.
Each puzzle measures 11 x 11 inches and is contained in a handmade box. The pieces are 3/4 inches thick.
Each puzzle piece is cut to size and hand sanded to a smooth 400 grit for a very smooth surface. Edges and corners are softened for comfortable handling. Pieces are then hand rubbed with mineral oil, no toxic finishes are used.
Makes a great coffee table puzzle, fun for children and adults alike.
